List your materials once. Build each product from them, with the labor time. The spreadsheet works out the cost of one item, your profit after Etsy fees, your margin, your break-even price and the price you need for the margin you want. It also ranks your products by margin and flags materials that are running low.
What it does
- Materials: type what you bought (unit, pack size, pack price) and the unit you use when you make the product. The sheet converts between units and works out the cost per unit of use
- Recipes: for each product, pick up to 15 materials, type how much goes into one item, and add the minutes of labor and your hourly rate
- Product costing: type your price, the shipping you charge, the postage you pay and your packaging cost, and say whether the order came from an Offsite Ad
- Etsy fees worked out for you: listing, transaction, payment processing, Offsite Ads (with Etsy's per-order cap) and currency conversion
- Profit per order, profit margin, break-even price, and the price for the target margin you type
- Stock on hand, reorder level, a reorder flag when stock is at or below that level, and stock value
- Products ranked by profit margin, with a chart of your top 10

Good to know
- The sample materials, products and prices are examples (candles, soap, a bracelet, bath bombs, lip balm, a leather keychain, a macrame hanger and wax melts). Type over them, or select the yellow cells and press Delete.
- Units convert inside their own family: weight, volume, pieces or length. Grams convert to ounces, but not to milliliters.
- Fees are worked out for an order of one item. Break-even and target prices ignore the Offsite Ads cap, so they are exact unless one order pays more than the cap.
- Fee Rates start at Etsy's US rates as published on Etsy Help in October 2026. Sellers outside the US should change the payment processing rate to their country's rate.
- White cells are calculated and locked, so formulas cannot break by accident. Sheets are protected without a password.
- This file estimates costs and fees. It is not tax or accounting advice. Etsy can change its fees: check "Fee Rates" against your Etsy Payments page.
